The video-essay extension of Portals, Corners, Dashes.
Portals, Corners, and Dashes and the painting, Dis, explore the experience and poetics of space. Dis is born out of considering the visual-spatial peculiarities and resultant cognitive overwhelm that characterize the cortical blindness of my father, who has Posterior Cortical Atrophy. Portals, Corners, and Dashes artist book and video iterations intertwine with ideas behind Dis: consciousness, poetics of space, domestic living, and other constellated topics.
