Portals_Corners_Dashes and the related painting, Dis, explore the experience and poetics of space. Dis is born out of considering the visual-spatial peculiarities and resultant cognitive overwhelm that my father, who has Posterior Cortical Atrophy, experiences. The artist book and video iterations intertwine with ideas behind Dis: consciousness, poetics of space, domestic living, and other constellated topics.
