      <image:title>Projects - Notes on Shifting Grounds</image:title>
<image:caption>The expanding project here Notes on Shifting Grounds is a text that encourages the reader to wander through its digital architecture, co-creating the narrative. There is no set path and no end; contingent reading refuses singularity. Paths often loop. An experiment in painting (see “Fold, cut, stitch, stretch”) is related to the text. The image produced on canvas has been distributed across distances, has been re-instantiated virtually, has had parts swapped out in participatory exchange, and is now reconfigured in its original frame; it has expanded and contracted. In a sense, it is a self-portrait. The text is ongoing.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Projects - Ghost (2019)</image:title>
<image:caption>Ghost was an intermedia installation for School of the Art Institute’s Low-Residency MFA Open Studio Night, 2019. This display featured wall-writing/painting “yellow wallpaper”, two paintings, a two-channel video projection, and an artist book, Portals_Corners_Dashes. Photography gave rise to paintings, paintings inspired writing, writing transformed into a video-essay, and the video-essay gave rise to the transcript painted on the wall. This became a project meandering through its containers. The shadow of its former iterations were present in the room, and the whole claustrophic work was a kind of euologization. The two-channel video included time-lapse documentation of writing the video transcript (for Portals_Corners_Dashes 2.0) in yellow paint on the walls. This time-lapse channel was paired with a channel showing a slowly-paced montage of photography. The dual-channel projection upon a span of studio wall was framed by the yellow writing, providing a portal into the past.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Projects - Portals_Corners_Dashes 2.0 (2019)</image:title>
<image:caption>The video-essay extension of Portals, Corners, Dashes. Portals, Corners, and Dashes and the painting, Dis, explore the experience and poetics of space. Dis is born out of considering the visual-spatial peculiarities and resultant cognitive overwhelm that characterize the cortical blindness of my father, who has Posterior Cortical Atrophy. Portals, Corners, and Dashes artist book and video iterations intertwine with ideas behind Dis: consciousness, poetics of space, domestic living, and other constellated topics.</image:caption>
